To Strengthen the Law Well

Battambang: The Minister of Justice, Koeut Rith said that in order to strengthen the law well, it is necessary to reform and recruit people with knowledge, human resources, and additional training and to have the professional ethics of each person to do well, is very important and Improve the quality of court proceedings.

He said this during the inauguration ceremony to transfer of the chief of Battambang Provincial Court, with Mr Chum Sar as the new chief, replacing Mr Chea Vann that transferred to be the chief of Tbong Khmum Provincial Court on the afternoon of May 20, 2022, at Battambang Provincial Court.

"In the past, as well as now, we have justice centres in the districts, with the function of resolving disputes outside the court system, helping to alleviate and reduce many cases in the provincial courts," he said.

Related to the reform of the judiciary and reducing the hardships of the people, the plaintiffs and defendant find it difficult to travel far and wide in travel expenses. To alleviate this difficulty, the Royal Government, especially the Ministry of Justice, has set up a regional appeal court to bring the legal services as close as possible to the people who need legal services.

Koeut Rith instructed all judges, prosecutors, clerks, and bailiffs to continue to solve the congestion of various criminal cases well, to strengthen their capacity and subordinates to have good quality, professional ethics with the most and make people have high confidence.
